A new Seminole County executive order was signed May 1, and goes into effect May 4: Seminole County Executive Order 2020-17. Until May 4, the pool/gym/clubhouse, tennis courts, basketball courts, and restrooms remain closed, following Seminole County and State of Florida Executive Orders, particularly: Seminole County Executive Order 2020-06 & Seminole County Executive Order 2020-08.

The new Executive Order is not specific, and we have been in contact with the County and the association’s legal counsel for clarification and guidance. As a result, the following phased reopen is planned, which we believe will be in compliance with the County. Current anticipated actions begin on May 4, 2020 and are as follows:

  • Gym/Clubhouse (including the office) will remain closed.
  • Basketball hoops will remain down, as the EO commands 6-foot spacing.
  • Members shall self-impose social distancing when at an Association amenity
  • Tennis courts will reopen for Member play. No groups or tennis lessons.
  • The pool and splash pad will reopen with the specific times of 10am-6pm. The gates will remain chained and security will be in place.
    • Family Units/Residents must have their Sanctuary-issued photo ID for entry. No exceptions.
    • Family Units/Residents of the same household only, with no non-Resident guests. No exceptions.
    • Family Units/Residents of the same household may be within 6 feet of each other.
    • Family Units/Residents of the same household must be spaced greater than 6 feet apart from Family Units/Residents of other households (even in the pool, even if they arrived “together”)
    • No gatherings larger than 10 (parties at the pavilions, etc.)
    • The pool and pool deck will be cleared promptly at 6pm and the area secured.

The Association understands that these are heavy restrictions, but must comply with the County. As confirmed by direct communication with the Seminole County Office of Emergency Management, the County shall fine the Association $500 per person if it does not fully comply. We look forward to a time when these restrictions may be lifted.

With constantly changing information on the current state of the coronavirus pandemic, the board is doing its best to adapt to current guidance from the CDC, county/city officials, legal counsel, as well as general best practices. As always, we appreciate your patience and cooperation while we adapt to constantly changing information.
