Significant Bear Activity in the Community

There continues to be significant bear activity in the community, including a recent incident of a bear charging a residential front door. Please store your trash cans inside and wait until Wednesday morning to put your trash cans out for collection. The trash is “bear food” and is attracting them to the neighborhood. Florida Black Bear are a protected species, and are not a nuisance animal that may be removed by the HOA, the City, or the County. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission should be contacted if a bear appears violent.
