We continue to receive reports of black bears in the community and continue to encourage you to put your trash cans out on Wednesday morning instead of Tuesday night. The trash is “bear food” and is attracting them to the neighborhood. Florida Black Bear are a protected species, and are not a nuisance animal that may be removed by the HOA, the City, or the County. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission should be contacted if a bear appears violent.
